Mouser Electronics Signs Agreement with MachineQ to Distribute Enterprise Sensors and LoRaWAN Gateways

January 27, 2020 - Mouser Electronics, Inc., the authorized global distributor with the newest semiconductors and electronic components, today announces a distribution agreement with MachineQ, a Comcast service that helps enterprises connect their operations through an integrated platform that bridges the physical and digital worlds with enterprise-grade wireless sensors and gateways and cloud-based software services. The initial agreement focuses on the North American market, with plans to expand into other territories later this year.

The MachineQ product line, now available from Mouser Electronics, includes the flagship Area 8c gateway, a sleek and compact LoRaWAN gateway that can be mounted on walls or ceilings for connectivity in commercial buildings with coverage in difficult-to-reach areas. The Area 8c gateway is available in both Wi-Fi and Ethernet and LTE and Ethernet models.

The MQflex™ sensor is a robust, multi-use LoRaWAN-compliant device capable of monitoring temperature, acceleration, orientation, magnetic flux, barometric pressure, and humidity. The compact, lightweight device includes a long-life battery, making it a cost-effective solution for remotely collecting data and triggering threshold-detection mechanisms in a wide range of applications.

The MQspark is a plug-and-play development kit designed as a USB module for rapid prototyping of IoT solutions. The kit comes with the USB module and four different Seeed Studio Grove sensors for measuring temperature, sound, distance, and orientation and speed. Additionally, the MQspark is compatible with the full suite of Grove sensors. The MQspark works with the open source Arduino integrated development environment (IDE), allowing developers to tap into a huge development community.
