Toshiba TLP577x GaAlAs Infrared LED & Photo ICs

Toshiba TLP577x Series GaAlAs Infrared LED and Photo ICs consist of a GaAlAs infrared light-emitting diode and an integrated high-gain, high-speed photodetector. The ICs are housed in 6-pin SO6L packages which are 50% smaller than the 8-pin DIP package. These packages meet the reinforced insulation class requirements of international safety standards so the mounting area can be reduced in equipment requiring the safety standard certification.

The TLP577x series have an internal Faraday shield that provides a guaranteed common-mode transient immunity of ±35kV/μs. The photocoupler guarantees operation with a low threshold input current and allows bufferless direct drive from a microcomputer. The TLP577x series have rail-to-rail output and enable the stable operation and better switching performance in a system.
