Texas Instruments TMUXHS4612 6-Channel Multiplexer Switches
Texas Instruments TMUXHS4612 6-Channel Multiplexer Switches are high-speed bidirectional passive switches in 2:1 mux or 1:2 demux configurations. These switches support HDMI 1.4b/2.0/2.1 up to 12Gbps, USB4 up to 20Gbps, and DisplayPort 1.4/2.1 up to UHBR20. The TMUXHS4612 switches are generic analog differential passive mux or demux that work for high-speed differential interfaces with data rates up to 20Gbps. The high-speed channel allows high-speed switching with minimal attenuation to the signal eye diagram and little added jitter. The TMUXHS4612 switches feature silicon design for excellent frequency response at the higher frequency spectrum of the signals. These devices operate at -40°C to 125°C and are available in a 40-pin, 3mm x 6mm x 0.4mm pitch WQFN package. Typical applications include notebooks, PCs, gaming, home theater and entertainment, TV data center and enterprise computing, medical and healthcare, and test and measurement.The TMUXHS4612 switches high-speed channels support differential and single-ended signaling as long as the single-ended signals do not violate the VP-N_ABSMAX parameter. The sideband channels are 5V tolerant and support single-ended and differential signaling, such as I2C, UART, DisplayPort AUX, and USB2. The TMUXHS4612 switches operate at 800µA low active power and offer power-down mode in all channels, become Hi-Z, and operate at 32µA minimal power.
