Analog Devices Inc. LT7200S Quad Step-Down Regulators

Analog Devices Inc. LT7200S Quad Synchronous Monolithic Step-Down Regulators offer high efficiency with 5A sinking/sourcing capability to the load per channel. The multichannel flexibility of the device ensures complex systems are powered with a compact layout. Suited for various supply applications from a 3.3V, 5V to 12V supply, the LT7200S operates from 2.9V to 18V.

The ADI LT7200S Quad Step-Down Regulators supply a programmable operating frequency from 400kHz to 3MHz with an external resistor or external synchronization for switching noise-sensitive applications. A unique “phase lockable, controlled on-time, constant frequency, current mode” architecture allows for high frequency, high step-down applications while requiring fast transient responses. The high-frequency capability enables smaller surface-mount inductors and capacitors. The MODE/SYNC pin selects low noise Forced Continuous Mode (FCM) or high-efficiency Discontinuous Mode (DCM). The PHMODE pin permits run-out-of-phase among four channels, which decreases the required input and output capacitors.

The LT7200S regulators utilize second-generation Silent Switcher technology with integrated bypass capacitors to provide a highly efficient solution at high frequencies with superior EMI performance. The LT7200S is available in a low profile 5mm x 6mm 48-Lead LQFN package.
