Analog Devices Inc. ADPL76030 4-Switch Buck-Boost Controllers

Analog Devices ADPL76030 4-Switch Buck-Boost Controllers are designed to regulate output voltage and input or output current from an input voltage above, below, or equal to the output voltage. The proprietary peak-buck, peak-boost current-mode control scheme enables adjustable and synchronizable 600kHz to 1.4MHz fixed-frequency operation or internal 25% triangle spread spectrum frequency modulation for low EMI. The device provides a 4V to 55V input voltage range, 0V to 55V output voltage capability, and seamless low-noise transitions between operation regions. The ADPL76030 is excellent for voltage regulators and battery and supercapacitor charger applications in automotive, industrial, telecom, and battery-powered systems.

The Analog Devices ADPL76030 delivers an input or output current monitor and a power good flag. Fault protection is also supplied to detect an output short-circuit condition, during which the ADPL76030 retries, latches off, or keeps running.
