Renesas Electronics Air Duct System Solutions demonstrate an air duct system that purifies the air inside homes by sensing the temperature, humidity, and air quality. This solution includes the RL78 microcontroller (MCU) series, which has a variety of functions, a wide lineup, and a standby function. This reduces current consumption to minimize standby power. The solution also includes the RX23T MCU that enables efficient motor control.

RX 32-bit Microcontrollers

Renesas Electronics RX 32-bit Microcontrollers (MCUs) are built around the high-performance RXv1/RXv2 CPU core and combine excellent operation performance with superior power efficiency. These MCUs come with various resources, such as Integrated Development Environments (IDE), debugging tools, programming tools, and middleware. The RX 32-bit MCUs consists of four product series such as RX700, RX600, RX200, and RX100. These MCUs share basic CPU architecture and peripherals and provide upward code compatibility. This maximizes design flexibility and facilitates software reuse.

RX200 32-Bit Microcontrollers

Renesas Electronics RX200 32-Bit Microcontrollers (MCUs) provide a balance between power efficiency and performance. These MCUs consume 0.12mA/MHz current during operation and only 0.8μA in standby mode (with RAM contents retained). The RX200 MCUs feature 54MHz maximum operating speed of the CPU and delivers high performance of 4.16 CoreMark/MHz. These MCUs support an operating voltage range of 1.62V to 5.5V. The RX200 MCUs come with peripheral function modules such as the MTU2 16-bit timer unit with advanced functionality, RTC, 12-bit A/D converter, and temperature sensor. These MCUs include numerous hardware options to assist the implementation of functional safety that simplifies the process of obtaining IEC 60730 certification for electric home appliances.

RX23T 40MHz 32-bit RX MCUs

Renesas Electronics RX23T 40MHz 32-bit RX MCUs are designed for single inverter control. The RX23T allows easy programming in complex inverter control algorithms with the built-in FPU (floating-point processing unit). These features greatly reduce the time required for software development and maintenance. The Renesas Electronics RX23T 32-bit RX MCUs provide an RX200 core that consumes a small 0.45 μA current, in software standby mode (with RAM retention).
